In a significant move to harness space technology for effective governance, the Government of Andhra Pradesh has entered into a landmark agreement with the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO). The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between ISRO and the Real-Time Governance Society (RTGS) was signed in the presence of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu at the State Secretariat on Monday.
This five-year collaboration aims to enhance the capabilities of the AWARE platform—a state-of-the-art system designed to support decision-making and emergency response—by integrating satellite imagery and scientific data. The enhanced platform will support over 42 critical applications across diverse sectors including agriculture, weather forecasting, disaster preparedness, urban planning, and more.
The integration of advanced technologies such as satellites, drones, IoT devices, sensors, mobile feeds, and CCTV networks will enable the platform to provide real-time alerts and guidance to citizens via SMS and WhatsApp, ensuring timely and accurate information during emergencies.
This strategic initiative is expected to significantly improve the state’s disaster management capabilities, enhancing public safety and resilience through data-driven governance.
The signing ceremony was attended by ISRO Director Raja Rajesan, RTGS CEO Prakhar Jain, Chief Secretary Vijay Anand, IT Secretary Katamneni Bhaskar, and other senior officials.

విపత్తు నిర్వహణకు స్పేస్ టెక్నాలజీ సాయం.. సీఎం చంద్రబాబు సమక్షంలో ఇస్రో-ఆర్టీజీఎస్ ఒప్పందం.
ప్రభుత్వ పాలనలో స్పేస్ టెక్నాలజీని విస్తృతంగా వినియోగించుకునేలా రాష్ట్ర ప్రభుత్వం కీలక అడుగువేసింది. ఇందులో భాగంగా సోమవారం సచివాలయంలో ముఖ్యమంత్రి నారా చంద్రబాబు నాయుడు సమక్షంలో ఇస్రో-ఆర్టీజీఎస్ మధ్య అవగాహన ఒప్పందం కుదిరింది.
ఐదేళ్ల పాటు సాగే ఈ ఒప్పందం ద్వారా శాటిలైట్ చిత్రాలు, శాస్త్రీయ సమాచారంతో AWARE ప్లాట్ఫామ్ను మరింతగా అభివృద్ధి చేయనున్నారు. ఇది వ్యవసాయం, వాతావరణం, విపత్తుల నిర్వహణ, పట్టణ ప్రణాళిక తదితర విభాగాల్లో 42కి పైగా అప్లికేషన్లలో పనిచేయనుంది.
ఆధునిక సాంకేతికతలను సమన్వయం చేసి విపత్తుల నిర్వహణలో మెరుగైన ఫలితాలు అందించి ప్రజల భద్రతకు దోహదపడుతుంది. AWARE ప్లాట్ఫామ్ శాటిలైట్లు, డ్రోన్లు, IoT పరికరాలు, సెన్సార్లు, మొబైల్ ఫోన్ల ఫీడ్, సీసీటీవీ వంటి వనరుల నుంచి డేటాను సమగ్రంగా సేకరించి ప్రజలకు SMS, WhatsApp రూపంలో తక్షణ హెచ్చరికలు, సూచనలు చేస్తుంది.
ఈ ఒప్పంద ద్వారా ముఖ్యంగా విపత్తు నిర్వహణలో ప్రజలకు అత్యంత ఖచ్చితమైన సమాచారం త్వరితగతిన చేరవేసే అవకాశం లభిస్తుంది.
