PDSU Leaders Submit Petition to Madakasira MRO Office Seeking Solutions for Hostel Issues

04.06.2025 Leaders of the Progressive Democratic Students Union (PDSU) submitted a formal petition to the Tahsildar at the Madakasira MRO office, highlighting serious concerns faced by students residing in government hostels.
The PDSU delegation urged the administration to address key issues affecting students’ welfare and living conditions. Their primary demands included:
- Immediate distribution of fine-quality rice in all government hostels to ensure proper nutrition for students.
- Construction of dedicated buildings for SC and BC government hostels, which are currently operating from dilapidated and rented premises.
The petition was presented under the leadership of PDSU to bring the plight of hostel students to the attention of the authorities. The leaders emphasized that if these longstanding issues are not resolved promptly, they would be compelled to organize mass protest programs across the region.
District General Secretary Umesh Naik, District Vice President Naveen Kumar, and several other PDSU activists took part in the submission of the petition.

ప్రగతిశీల ప్రజాస్వామ్య విద్యార్థి సంఘం (PDSU) నాయకులు మడకశిర ఎమ్మార్వో కార్యాలయంలో తహసీల్దార్ గారికి అధికారికంగా ఒక వినతిపత్రం అందజేశారు. ప్రభుత్వ వసతి గృహాల్లో ఉన్న విద్యార్థులు ఎదుర్కొంటున్న ప్రధాన సమస్యలను ఇందులో హైలైట్ చేశారు.
విద్యార్థుల సంక్షేమం మరియు జీవన ప్రమాణాలను ప్రభావితం చేసే సమస్యల పరిష్కారాన్ని ప్రభుత్వ యంత్రాంగం తక్షణం తీసుకోవాలని పీడీఎస్యూ ప్రతినిధులు కోరారు. వారి ప్రధాన డిమాండ్లు ఇవే:
- అన్ని ప్రభుత్వ వసతి గృహాలలో విద్యార్థులకు సరైన పోషణ కోసం ఉత్తమ నాణ్యత గల (సన్న) బియ్యం వెంటనే పంపిణీ చేయాలి
- ప్రస్తుతం పురాతన, అద్దె భవనాల్లో నడుస్తున్న ఎస్సి మరియు బీసీ వసతి గృహాలకు ప్రత్యేక భవనాలు నిర్మించాలి
వసతి గృహాల్లో ఉంటున్న విద్యార్థుల సమస్యలను అధికారుల దృష్టికి తీసుకురావడమే లక్ష్యంగా పీడీఎస్యూ నాయకత్వంలో ఈ వినతిపత్రం సమర్పించబడింది. ఈ సమస్యలు తక్షణమే పరిష్కరించకపోతే, ప్రాంతవ్యాప్తంగా భారీ స్థాయిలో ఆందోళనలు చేపడతామని నాయకులు హెచ్చరించారు.
వినతిపత్రం కార్యక్రమంలో జిల్లా ప్రధాన కార్యదర్శి ఉమేష్ నాయక్, జిల్లా ఉపాధ్యక్షుడు నవీన్ కుమార్, ఇతర పీడీఎస్యూ కార్యకర్తలు పాల్గొన్నారు.
పొరుగు వర్గాల విద్యార్థుల హక్కులు మరియు సంక్షేమాన్ని కాపాడేందుకు తమ పోరాటం నిరంతరం కొనసాగుతుందని పీడీఎస్యూ స్పష్టం చేసింది. వెంటనే మరియు గట్టి చర్యలు తీసుకోవాలని జిల్లా యంత్రాంగాన్ని కోరింది
